Spirit of the Holidays

This year, thanks to many individuals and corporations our annual toy drive was a great success!

In addition to the Kids School, YMCA, Trinity UAME Church, Buds of Hope, Happy Hands, Precious Littles, Emmanuel Church of Christ, The Learning Playhouse, holiday gifts were also provided for the children of Saint Ann’s Community Day Care Center.

Since 1971, we've demonstrated how much we care through programs and services that bolster a child's academic skills, healthy development, and love of learning. Annually, more than 4,000 children benefit from our after-school and summer academic programs, environmental science camp and free health clinic. Simply, it is our mission to improve the lives of Newark Kids.

Kids Farm

Growing Healthy Kids

Kids Farm was developed to promote healthy eating habits among Newark's children and as a year-round teaching tool for Kids Camp. In addition to feeding and educating our students, Kids Farm grows organic produce for profit sales to New Jersey restaurants, and sells fresh, affordable vegetables at Newark's neediest schools.

The Kids After-School Program is an academic enrichment program that combines strong academics, cultural activities, field trips, community service and more!

  • Starts Sept 12, Mon-Fri, 3-6pm every school day
  • Cost: $80 per child per month
  • Located at NECCS, 17 Crawford Street, Newark
  • Open to: all NECCS students
